Discord Bot
Bring Steam price updates, sales highlights, patch notes, blog posts, and followed-game alerts into your Discord server.
What it does
- Periodic updates for Price Changes and Sales & Deals.
- Alerts when new Free to Keep or Free Weekend promotions appear on Steam.
- Optional updates for Patch Notes and new Blog posts.
- Server-wide game follows via
/followfor price, patch, and sale alerts on titles your community cares about.
Setup
- Click Add to Discord and select a server where you have Manage Server permission.
- Run
/setup channel:#your-channelso the bot knows where to post. - Enable the updates you want with
/notify(for example/notify type:price state:on). Sales & Deals hide Sexual Content by default; use/notify type:Sales Sexual Content state:onto include those titles. - Optionally follow specific games with
/follow. - Confirm everything with
/status.
Command reference
All configuration and follow commands require the Manage Server permission in Discord.

| /setup | Set the default channel for notifications. Required before updates or follow alerts can post. |
| /notify | Turn price, sales, free games, patches, or blog updates on or off. Sales Sexual Content is off by default — opt in to include those titles in Sales & Deals. |
| /channel | Route a notification type to a specific channel, or reset it to the default. |
| /follow | Follow a Steam game so this server gets alerts for price changes, patch notes, and sales on that title. |
| /unfollow | Stop following a game. |
| /following | List games this server is following. |
| /status | Show toggles, channel routing, follow count, and update readiness. |
| /help | Short command list and a link back to this guide. |
Permissions
The invite requests View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Read Message History, and Use Application Commands. The bot does not need Message Content Intent. Keep its role high enough to post in the channels you select.
Privacy
For each installed server we store the guild id, chosen channel ids, notification toggles, delivery cursors, and the list of followed game ids. We do not read message content. See the Privacy Policy for site-wide practices.
